New session type: Personal Conversation

Julian
Please consider adding a category for “Personal Conversations.” I tend to add notes to my Notion database based on conversations I have. It's great for having access to a summary for the next time you're meeting with the individual, especially if there's going to be a large gap of time. It’s also great for gift ideas based on things that were mentioned, or to never miss an important thing shared by your spouse.
FOR EXAMPLE
Core Categories
* Key Topics Discussed
* Main themes or subjects (e.g., work updates, hobbies, family, travel plans).
Action Items or Follow-Ups
* Plans made, tasks to complete, or topics to revisit.
Personal Preferences or Interests
* Hobbies, likes, dislikes, favorite things (e.g., favorite food, music).
Emotional Tone
* Mood or emotional state conveyed (e.g., happy, stressed, excited).
Milestones or Events Mentioned
* Life updates, anniversaries, accomplishments, upcoming events.
Gift Ideas or Needs
* Items they need or want, or subtle hints that suggest gift opportunities.
Shared Jokes or Memorable Moments
* Inside jokes, funny anecdotes, or memorable exchanges.
Values or Opinions
* Insights into beliefs, perspectives, or important principles.
Optional or Specialized Categories
Relationships Mentioned
* Updates or context on their family, friends, or colleagues.
Health or Well-Being
* Mentions of physical or mental health, fitness goals, or stressors.
Cultural References
* Books, movies, music, or other media discussed.
Unspoken Implications
* Subtext or underlying themes (e.g., hints of dissatisfaction or excitement).

The next one would require access to previous conversations…
Recurring Themes
* Topics or issues that come up consistently across conversations.

Session Type Customization
Wil
I see all these meeting type requests. Giving us control by allowing us to create our own meeting types WITH custom context only for that meeting type would stop these requests and allow everyone to configure Hedy how they want to use it. To cut down on costs, maybe have a default list and the ability to add 2 or 3 custom ones.
This also opens up a door for people to come up with creative ways to use Hedy and could be a future marketing angle, showcasing broad use cases.

I noted that this feature is already live. How can I gather all the content or create a summary from a note and all the related notes from the same topic? I am brainstorming for a project, and whenever an idea comes to mind, I create a subnote. How can I summarize all of them?

Have you considered adapting this to help people with neurodiversity or social anxiety to help them develop and improve their social/conversation skills?

this is my main use of Hedy, personal conversation summary.
my dream for this session type is a Hedy that can surface additional content, inline, without prompting:
- the name or brand or other proper noun that the conversationalists can't remember, along with more information about it.
- (already exists, to an extent) I hear something in the conversation and i have no idea what that thing is. Touch my Hedy button, and Hedy figures out what the term was, goes out and gets me context on it. Voof, that's a LOT. So many use cases to cover.
today, i stop the conversation to activate Siri (with GPT behind it) and ask the reference question. it's not terribly disruptive, if the other conversationalist(s) are OK with the pause to research.
- integrated with a general AI chatbot companion that has memories about my typical conversations, topics, and likes,
- with access to my chrono log, can surface details from recent experiences to fill in the gaps
- can notify me when i start to tell an anecdote that i've already shared with this person, or resurface summary of that topic from a previous conversation, suggesting follow-up points, and next steps. Voof, that'd be KILLER.

Hi Alex Harvey, this is a fantastic suggestion. We would love to further support neurodivergent users and people with social anxiety. Could you expand on any specific use cases you have in mind?

For me, I often overanalyze and overthink conversations, especially in professional settings. Having the ability to revisit those conversations and ask questions for clarity and feedback has been incredibly reassuring. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can reflect and learn.
When tools can analyze tone, volume, speech speed, and differentiate voices while using that context effectively, it becomes transformative. They say it’s not just what you say, but how you say it. This kind of capability will be a breakthrough for anyone dealing with social or cognitive processing challenges!
