The 3.9 changed the way in which Windows detects the sample rate of the audio device. In the past, a silent interval could block the wrong frequency for the rest of the session, and it's the most likely cause of a session pausing on its own despite hearing someone talking. If you can update and try again, let us know if it still happens.

I would add that then at the end of the session the app starts to transcribe everything that was said after the break. The problem is mistakenly not hearing the audio, it pauses and no longer transcribes anything.

The curious thing is that the app seems to 'hear' that someone is speaking but in any case it pauses declaring that it does not hear anyone speaking.
